As most of you know, Amanda and Jay met each other while working together at Bayfront Hospital. While primarily working seperate shifts, they really got along during the few hours they did work together. After about a year of working together, Jay asked Amanda to come and celebrate his brother-in-law's birthday at Howl at the Moon. All night long, Jay kept telling Amanda that he was "digging her", a joke they still laugh about til this day. They became "official" on December 8th 2009, and their love has grown stronger with each passing day.

Amanda and Jay were planning a vacation to Washington, DC in February 2012. While Amanda and Jay were preparing for their trip, there were other plans being made. Jay, Amanda's parents, and her grandmother were planning the big moment. Amanda's grandmother passed down her wedding set to Jay to propose. The original plan was to propose on the vacation. However, Jay became really nervous about losing this special and meaningful ring in luggage or on vacation. So before they left for their trip on February 23rd, 2012, Jason proposed to Amanda in their home. Of course, she said Yes!! When she found out it was her grandmothers ring, she realized that he had also proposed on her grandmothers birthday. The day could not have been any more perfect. Oh, and the vacation was absolutely amazing. They both agreed it was the best vacation they have been on!

Here comes the fun part; for Amanda at least (hehe). They were planning the date, location, you name it. However, after they started adding up the cost of these lovely things, we were shocked. They weren't sure if they willing to spend this much. All that mattered to them was that they were getting married. Now, they had already decided on their honeymoon, a cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. After talking amongst themselves and with their families, they decided to hold the wedding on board the ship prior to sailing off. It would be a small, intimate, family wedding. Even though they wanted to have all of their friends there with them to celebrate this moment, they knew they would understand. So, it was done. The date was set for October 5th, 2013 on board the ship. Don't worry though, there will be a fun party when they return where all of you can celebrate with them!

Since we couldn't bring everyone with us on the cruise, we are bringing the cruise to everyone! Prepare for some fun at sea, on land! Food, drinks and dancing! Tropical attire such as khakis and summer dresses are perfect!
