Welcome

In case you haven't heard our oh-so-romantic story, here it is....

We met at a bar (through a Young Professionals of Albuquerque event). Allen was looking dashing in his dress shirt rolled up to the elbows and a black sling on his left arm from breaking his collar bone for the second time. It was love at first sight!

We went to the next event a month later at Dirty Bourbon where Allen pretended to learn to line dance because Regan was on the dance floor. At the end of the night, Allen stole Regan's email off the sign in sheet to not be creepy. She waited over 24 hours to email him back because she thought it was a joke.

In November 2013, we went on our first date. Our second date was the following night. The third was the next night...you get the pattern.

We have been pretty much inseparable! We even work together now...nothing better than working together daily, opening a new business together AND planning the wedding! WOO HOO!

We planned a trip to San Diego in May 2014 just for fun. Since Allen spent most of his life in San Diego he was excited to take Regan down memory lane. After driving by his middle school and high school, we went into the neighborhood he grew up in. He parked the car right outside his childhood home and asked Regan to get out of the car. She thought this was a bit odd, but did as asked. Allen pointed out each house where a friend had lived, the house they used to hit their baseballs towards, etc. Then he turned Regan towards him and said "I couldn't think of a better place for this. I spent most of my life here (then dropped to one knee). I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

As they say, proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.....a few weeks before this trip, Allen had gone to Regan's dad to ask permission, then took both of our moms with him to pick the perfect ring!

As cliche as it sounds, we knew very early on that we would get married...so we would talk about our colors (which will be the simple elegance of black and white), started looking at venues and thinking about the bridal party all before getting engagged. Yep - we are that couple!

We knew we needed an air conditioned space so we wouldn't all melt away in warm June New Mexico weather, but we did not want an enclosed ballroom. We loved the Albuquerque International Balloon Museum.  We are able to have the ceremony outside and the reception inside where there are panoramic views of the city and mountains through floor to ceiling windows. Another bonus is that all of our guests are able to tour the museum throughout the night!

Our bridal party is 8 close friends and Tom.
Maid of Honor - Carlie Pratt (Regan's twin sister) who escaped being dragged to every wedding panning event so far by moving to Barcelona, Spain! Thanks sister!

Bridesmaids - Jamie Carmer who Regan has known since middle school, Brooke Carrillo who Regan met while working at a salon in college, and Kate Ernzen who was a former boss of Regan's at Target and the amazing woman behind Allen and Regan meeting! Thank you Kate!!!

Best Man - Kevin Bassett (Allen's youngest brother) who is fortunate to share an office at work with both of us and has to listen to all of the back and forth on wedding planning hoopla.

Groomsmen - Dan Tanks who Allen met in the 5th grade in San Diego. Dan was the first person to celebrate our engagement with us. Ryan Jensen who Allen met sophomore year of high school, and Hari Ravi who Allen met his senior year.

Then there's Tom....the first person we thought of to marry us! Thankfully he is tech savvy enough to get ordained on the internet! He enjoys long walks on the beach, fish-bowl sized cocktails and he's the reigning Dance Dance Revolution champion, but sorry friends - he is taken.

We have both been fortunate to own our own homes for a few years now - with that, we have about two of everything needed for a home and chose not to go the "typical" route of a registry, thus we registered with Royal Caribbean cruise lines.

Both of us have always wanted to visit Alaska so we made this our honeymoon destination. Leaving on June 23rd, we will be starting out in Vancouver, Canada for a few days before boarding our cruise. Our registry includes food and drink packages to enjoy the restaurants on the ship, an option to help us buy photos from the trip, a relaxing couple's massage and gift card options we can use towards our shore excursions. The excursions we chose are a float plane tour, kayak adventure, whale watching trip, glacier tour and a sled dog camp and ride! WE CAN"T WAIT!

Thank you for visiting our page and for being a part of our big day!
We are very excited for June 13th and to see you all soon!
