 | It was a cold November night and we were both completely oblivious to what our friend Daniele was attempting to do. You see, Jen had completely given up hope of finding someone, and Matt just wanted to hang out with friends. We met, but that was it. We each spent the evening talking to our friends and not with each other. Later that same evening...after Jen had left, Daniele asked Matt if there was anyone there that he was interested in and she talked him into contacting Jen on Facebook. So about a week later, Matt finally listened. Jen thought "who is the guy friending me on Facebook?", but she accepted the request anyway...it must have been a God thing because she never accepts friend request from strangers. So we spoke and then Matt asked Jen to dinner. Jen contacted Daniele and asked about Matt because she was completely adamant that she was not looking for a relationship, but she also thought that it would be nice to go out periodically. Daniele had to step in again and this time convince Jen that she needed to agree. So two weeks after we met, we finally went out...to lunch, because let's not forget, Jen was not really not looking for anything serious. Lunch went great! We talked for 2 1/2 hours and we did so with no cell phone, Facebook, Twitter, text message, or any other social media interruptions! Eventually Jen caved; she realized that there was just something special about this one and she decided that she did not want to let him get away! So we figured that we would give this relationship a chance. |
