Matt and I had talked about marriage...a lot.  I knew that it was only a matter of time before he proposed.  One day he mentioned that at some point he was going to go with his dad and shop for a ring.  So I asked "when?"  He replied "this Saturday".  Well it took all day and in order to keep busy, my house got a thorough cleaning!  We already had plans to go to the movies that night and when I sent him a text asking what time, he replied that there had been a change in plans and that we should get dressed up and go have a nice dinner.  Hmmm...well, I guess there will be no waiting.  So in the car on the way to dinner, he tried to throw me off course (I'll let him explain), but I wasn't really buying it.  After our drinks came (Diet Coke of course), he said some very sweet things that I barely remember and asked me to marry him.  I replied "YES! Of course I will!"

I had been praying that God would send me a sign showing me that Jen was the one I would spend the rest of my life with. After one of those prayers, Jen came to me and told me "you know that you are stuck with me, right?"  It couldn't have been more clear that Jen was the woman He had in mind for me to marry.  I went ring shopping with my father and we had visited so many stores and the last one we went to we found the perfect one!! I sent a text to Jen that we should play dress up and go for a nice dinner. I picked her up at her house and she was looking extremely beautiful. Now she knew I was ring shopping so the whole drive to the steak house I was trying to throw her off and tell her I wasn't able to find one and maybe we could go and get her ring size. Then we got to the steak house and ordered drinks and our meal.  Before our appetizer came, I asked Jen to spend the rest of her life with me as my wife!!! AND SHE SAID YES!!!!
