Kent and I met in high school freshman year 1996. We both attended Appleton West. I decided to join the cheerleading squad while Kent played football. I always had a secret crush on Kent, which is why I stayed in cheerleading. ;). Senior year we had a few classes together and that is where our friendship really bloomed. After graduation we both went our separate ways. We became friends on facebook years later, and really the only conversation was a comment Kent posted about one of my new hair color choices!

In March of 2012, Kent messaged me on facebook asking to hang out and catch up. I don't think I hesitated for a moment! We hung out and instantly clicked! Within a few weeks, I was ready for him to meet the kids and they all got along so well! I moved in with Kent in April and our relationship flourished from there. It literally felt like we had been together those last 12 years since high school. We have such a good, strong relationship and we have conquered a lot of misconceptions. We make sure each evening we kiss each other goodnight and we both know communicating is VERY important.

I am so happy that I said yes to hanging out with Kent....I just didn't realize how much he would impact our lives. :). We love each other more and more each day!
