On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the couple had scheduled a family photoshoot with their dear friend, Mandeep Singh Dhot (@mr.dhotphotography on Instagram) and their dog, Hershey (@hersheykins). Keeping in mind, Sundays are typically a busy day for the house (mostly Tina), but that day in particular there was A LOT on the to-do list and lots of places to be. However, Tina was made to believe that they were just helping Mandeep with some portfolio building shots, so of course she was willing to help her friend out and get the shots he needed. 

Little did she know what was really in store for her... (thankfully she had time to take her hair out of a messy bun and curl it)

It being one of the last nice and sunny days of Fall, the park was super busy with pedestrians and bicycles but they managed to get some shots with Hershey. As time went on, Tina's anxiety grew and patience grew thin. Wondering what was taking so long and knowing there were other places to be, Mitch was waiting for the perfect time to pop the question (because he is clearly the more patient one). 

Finally, Mandeep had the two turn and face away from each other and stand back to back. They both took a step forward creating some distance between them. Mandeep told Tina that he would instruct her when to turn around. BUT, hearing some leaves rustling behind her, she got kinda startled and did not follow his instructions and turned a bit too early. Seeing Mitch kneeling down with the ring in hand, she panicked and quickly turned around again, now she was really confused at this point. 

Finally now turning back to Mitch, Mitch asks her the question, "Christina Marie Buenviaje, will you marry me?" and because of her Auditory Processing Disorder and ADHD, it took a good solid minute (which probably felt like a lifetime for Mitch) for her to understand and process what the heck was happening. With the help of Mitch prompting that the question requires a response, she immediately realizes he couldn't read her mind and she finally said "YES!" 

Note: The Puppy Proposal that Tina has BEEN asking for for years is now added as a contingency on their Puppy Pre-Nup. Mitch is well aware of the conditions of this agreement.
