Mark and Regina met in the Randolph neighborhood near the VCU Campus in August of 2013. Regina and her roommates went to find a party because ya know Freshman… as they were lost they ran into Mark. As fate would have it, the two ran into each other twice in one night. Just a few days later they hung out and it felt oddly comfortable and familiar. The two went their separate ways for a few months. However, they rekindled over Christmas break.

They talked about their family traditions and what Christmas meant to them. From here on out they stuck by each other's side. There's a running joke that they were never officially boyfriend and girlfriend, because somehow in the midst of it all, neither of them asked the other person out. Somehow along the way they made up the anniversary of May 10th.

This date was picked because it was the day that Regina moved back home for Summer Break after Freshman year.

Over the past decade of knowing and growing together, life has handed them a lot of challenges, but also a lot of amazing and beautiful experiences especially their little girl. Watching her grow, learn and explore has been such a beautiful journey.

On May 10th they will celebrate their 10 year anniversary!
