Our story began during the Pandemic.  Who would have thought that COVID 19 would be a blessing instead of a curse.  Most churches were closed, and I’d ride pass Good Tidings Baptist Church on my way to different places. I said when church opens back up, I’m going to visit them.

We’d see each other and just give a friendly smile or a hello.  In February 2023 we had our first real conversation.  We would talk about everything under the sun.  Sometimes we’d talk til the wee hours of the morning.  It was just pleasant to talk to someone without any expectations.

Then there was the 1st date.  It was amazing.  We ate and talked.  We really didn’t want it to end.  After he dropped me off, he called to let me know he was home, and we talked all night.  We continued to date and get to know each other and even took a couple trips over the summer.

Then came Thanksgiving 2023, “We prayed, and all the family was saying what they were thankful for and HE ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM!’. I was shocked but pleasantly surprised and happy.  Of course, I said YES!!! So here we are starting our life together on Saturday, October 19, 2024, we will become ONE!
