It was January 17, and Brittany was oblivious to how her night was about to end. Abdi came into town that night and like any other Friday night, they were planning to go get dinner. 

They met up at cheddars, one of their favorites. Brittany noticed that he was acting really strange, but wasn't sure why. She thought he was going to propose the weekend before and when he didnt, she didn't want to get her hopes up again. 

After they were done with dinner Brittanys mom called while he was in the bathroom( which she later found out was planned) asking them what they were doing after dinner. Brittany let her know they were thinking of going to Maggie Moos's for some ice cream before heading home. Her mom said that they would meet them there, "ice cream sounds good"

side note: Maggie Moos's was where they had there first date in April of 2009. 

They walked into Maggie Moo's and her parents were already sitting down, so they sat down next to them, Brittany was anxious to go get ice cream but nobody was getting up, and she wasn't quite sure why. Her mom gave her a bag of chocolates and asked if she wanted one, she said yes and grabbed a piece of chocolate. Everybody then looked at her weird, she said "What?! You asked if I wanted a piece of chocolate?" Abdi then grabs the bag from her and says "Well, you we're suppose to grab this, but these things never go perfectly do they?"

He then pulls the most BEAUTIFUL ring out of the bag and gets down on one knee, right there in the ice cream shop! He gave a amazing speech and then asked that huge question, and of course, Brittany said Yes!

It was perfect, small, intimate, her parents were there, and there was obviously major thought put into how and when. It couldn't have been any better.
