Well it wasn't the fairytale proposal he wanted, but it was perfect. 

It all started with a family weekend away to Portland, where we spent the day walking downtown. After a day of shopping we headed to Portland Sea Dog Brewery for some food. It wasn't the delicious meal we were planning for, but who was to know that. With dinner not being so great he decided to go look for a lighthouse to visit ( in reality that is where he was going to propose, but I had no clue ! Come to find out in Portland all lighthouses are state parks and close at 7. So bummed we were we headed back to our hotel. While getting ready to go back into the hotel he started rambling about nonsence (hahahah) and then started saying how much he loved me and a few other things I can't remember because I was so in shock.  He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn't have been happier and of course I said "yes"

 This may not have been the planned out proposal he had planned for but it was perfect for us. We are far from romantic people, but that is us and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
