Kevin Whaley, friend and owner of Riverside Stoneworks, and Bobby worked SO HARD putting in this awesome patio and firepit and it looks amazing!  It's our new favorite spot to hang out each evening.  Installed just in time for fireside fun on wedding night!  

Drive past our house at night and you'll see the beginning of our wedding celebration decorations! The lights have turned out so pretty creating a canopy of mini lanterns for everyone to dance under. It's going to be so much fun!

Finally, invitations are complete and mailed!  We decided to save some dollars and go with DIY invites which was an excellent choice.  Although it took us several weeks to settle on a design the final product was exactly what we wanted.  I cannot say enough good things about the template designer Katie from http://mountainmodernlife.com/  She was so patient with me as we decided on wording and worked through getting the template just right.  Her website it awesome too!  I highly recommend checking it out for rustic DIY projects, invitation templates, and a ton more.  So, keep your eyes on your mailbox...invitation arriving soon!

Yay, we have our rings!  They've been off for sizing and finally arrived today.  I think they are beautiful :)  

The absolute moment we told our families we were engaged Momma Marca began planning!  Bobby and I both knew we wanted a simple ceremony to only include us and our children.  Untraditional is the key and our focus is on what the day is meant for...our commitment to each other and officially bringing our family of six together as one.

The first choice was "when"!?  After some of our closest friends planned a couple's retreat for us we knew the timing would be right for us to marry soon afterwards.  So, a date was chosen with strict instructions that it should not interfere with the annual Reelfoot duck hunting trip...priorities!  September, 16th 2017 it is!  Now we pray for no major disasters :-)

We've decided to plan a ceremony and bonfire night with friends, family and BBQ!  We hope for a relaxed and comfortable evening for everyone.  It will take place in our front yard which I am super exctied about.  It's the spot where we spend 95% of our time outside with friends and family already so only fitting that we will exchange vows here as well.

Now the to do list begins: prep & prime the house, finish the fire pit patio, landscaping....yikes!  I will post our progress as we go so stay tuned!
