It was that time of year again... The rivalry football game between the Nevada Wolf Pack and the UNLV Rebels.  The winner gets to keep the Freemont Cannon for the year.

Friends and I arrived to the tailgate area early, ready for some Wolf Pack Football! Next to us was a rowdy group of guys with a keg... Why wouldn't we want to join their party? So we did. And there he was. Half-naked, painted blue, wearing a Nevada flag as a cape and a blue styrofoam cowboy hat.

We stayed together until the game was ready to start, then we went our seperate ways to watch the game.  After the game, Ty tried giving me his number.  "There was no way this guy is into me!" I thought, so I took his number, but immediately gave it to a friend.  She text him and we met up at the Excalibur on the Vegas Strip.  He immediately walked straight up to me and struck up conversation.  By the end of the night, we had been talking non-stop and had already made plans to see eachother once we got back to Reno on Monday.  We text throughout the entire day on Sunday.  Come Monday, we couldn't wait until the dinner plans we had made so we met for a quick lunch between my classes and his work.

We have been together since!

College football was here and that means it was time to get ready for the UNR vs. UNLV game like we do every year. This year it was in Vegas which only meant one thing... PARTY! The game was on a Saturday night so me and a couple of friends dove down Friday night after work and met up with everyone to start partying. We kept it a short night to make sure we had plenty of time to get ready for the game.

It was an evening game so we had to prepare for a long afternoon of tailgating. We were up and out of the hotel room by 8 am and started buying all the necessities we would need for that afternoon. We got to the field about 12 o'clock and tapped the keg ASAP. As we started drinking more and more people started showing up and tailgating next to us. As the time went on and everyone was meeting new people I saw my buddy Petey talking to a group of girls. One of the girls caught my eye right away. I walk up to the group a little intoxicated and quietly asked Pete "who's the short one?" I thought I was being sly and quiet where in reality that wasn’t even close. With me being intoxicate, painted blue and wearing a cape how bad could it go? After my loud and obnoxious introduction I started talking to all of them, keeping my main focus on "the short one." They all introduced themselves, but names were the last thing I was going to be able to remember.

As we were finishing up our conversations getting ready to head into the stadium I told her she should take my number and call me. She looked at me and said, "Okay" and didn't do anything. So I came back with "this is where you take your phone out and put my number into it so you can call me later." After a few second she finally took her phone out and took my number. After that we went separate ways and didn't speak till later that night.

After the game all my buddies and I headed back to the hotel to get ready to go out on the town. Pete had to go downstairs to get something out of his car so I decided to go with him. While we were walking down I was getting a text from Tara. Me not being able to remember their names I thought "the short one" was texting me so I got excited. She said she was with her friends meeting up with someone at the same hotel that we were staying at. As I replied I looked up and they were all standing in front of me. We all started hanging out and talking then thats when I found out that "the short one" was Christina. Christina and I talked the whole time we were all together until we went separate ways.

That next morning I got a text from Christina. Seeing her name and knowing that the face behind it was the one I was wanting it to be made me happy. Everyone headed back to Reno that Sunday and the whole way back her and I texted the whole drive and all through the night. Before the night ended I knew I needed to see her again. That next day we met for lunch at subway "our first date" and since that day on, We haven't spent a moment away from each other.
