Steve and Danielle had a beautiful handfasting ceremony, in the tradition of the Celtic pagans circa the 16th and 17th centuries. This custom of literally tying the couples hands together is likely how the phrase 'tying the knot' came to be synonymous with getting married. 

Eloping was historically a way for a couple to be wed in secret, but we were married with the full blessing of our parents and our friends. 

We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends during the after-party in November!
