Hi everyone!

First off, we'd like to say that your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. The time, effort, and expense of traveling to be with us is something we deeply appreciate in our hearts, and we are so thrilled that we will be able to celebrate this happy occasion with you.

If you don't feel like gifting napkins or kitchen gadgets, this is the registry to check out-- a way to help us make our perfect honeymoon come true! While we have taken many exciting trips together, we are very much looking forward to our first real adventure as husband and wife. We will collect a lifetime of memories from this trip, which is why we settled on creating a honeymoon registry. We greatly appreciate and will fondly remember these gifts for years to come. A tip when looking at the items-- some are one-shot, like the congratulations cake-- that's what it costs in one lump sum. Some, like photo credits, we want multiples of. Professional cruise photos are awesome, but pricey! Other gifts are broken up into more giftable amounts, and three gifts would equal the whole package--like the couple's massage.

We are sailing on a 14 day cruise out of Sydney, Australia round-trip around New Zealand. Before the cruise we will spend 2 days on land in Sydney, trying to get a taste of life Down Under.

We'll do our best to document our experience via photo and include it in your much-deserved "thank you" note.

Glow Worm Caves & Kauri Forest

Departing the wharf you will travel to the Puketi State Forest where a stop will be made to view the forest first hand. The Puketi State Forest is a reserve featuring mighty Kauri Trees, one of the few native Kauri forests remaining in the world today. These stately and magnificent trees can reach an age of over 3,000 years and rival California's giant Redwoods in size. Kauri timber was taken in vast quantities by the Royal Navy for use in masts and spars due to the natural straight and true nature of their trunks. There is time for a leisurely stroll through the tranquil setting of the forest. Departing the forest, you will travel past rural farmland to the limestone Kawiti Cavern that features a spectacular glow-worm grotto. These dazzling bio-luminescents form a constellation of greenish blue lights, and demand complete silence as they are likely to extinguish their lights in defense if you should so much as sneeze. With the help of your guide you will see natural underground formations and the magnificent delicate stalactite and stalagmite formations within.

On your way to Rainbow Springs you’ll drive through the scenic countryside. The farms and forests combine to make this region one of the most beautiful in New Zealand. You’ll enjoy a guided tour through Rainbow Springs, a wonderful showcase for New Zealand's plants and animals.  Set amidst a beautiful native forest, the crystal clear freshwater streams and deep, fern ringed pools create a natural paradise.  At Kiwi Encounter you’ll see New Zealand’s iconic flightless bird. The conservation program at the center is dedicated to protecting the national bird. On your visit to Tamaki Pa, prior to receiving a 'Powhiri' (formal welcome) by the Maori spokesman, your group will be seriously challenged by a Maori warrior. This is an ancient ceremony which all honored guests receive. You will be invited to join in a traditional “hangi” or meal, prepared and cooked on hot stones in an earth oven. Your Maori hosts will share with you their rich culture and heritage through song and dance. At the fortified Maori village of Te Puia you will visit the wood carving school and watch the amazingly skilled craftsman at work. A guided walking tour through the wondrous geothermal valley of Whakarewarewa will show you pools of boiling mud, silica terraces, hissing steam vents and Pohutu Geyser … the “Big Splash”.
