How do I book?

-  Please visit Royal Caribbean directly and look for the 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise sailing on November 14, 2020 onboard the Independence of the Seas, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Alternatively, visit Costco Travel, or your local travel agent for assistance.

Do I have to pay for the entire trip all at once?

- No. You can put down a $530 deposit ($265/person based on double occupancy) and pay the remaining balance closer to the travel date (August 2020). Pricing will only increase with time - if you are thinking of joining us, it is a good idea to put your deposit down sooner rather than later.

Do you have a gift registry?

- Yes, but your company is more than enough! For anyone wishing to provide a monetary gift, we have created a registry for convenience. Please view "Our Registry" above.

Can I smoke on the ship?

- Yes. There are designated areas indoors (Casino) and outdoors to smoke.

Will I get seasick?

- Maybe. Some areas will be really calm, but other areas a bit more rocky, plan for the worst just in case. (We didn't get seasick on our last cruise, but it is different for everyone)

Do I need to take an excursion?

- No. You can explore ports of call on your own. Or, you can elect to stay on the ship as most people will have disembarked for the day.

Do I need to pay for excursions?

- Yes. There is an additional charge for most port activities, however, there is almost always someone selling an inexpensive city tour or trip to the beach if you would prefer not to book through Royal Caribbean.

Should I bring cash?

- Only for purchases OFF the ship. Everything on the ship will be charged through your Sea Pass Card.

*Note: Tips are automatically charged to your stateroom per person, per day. There is no need to tip anyone unless you really feel that it is necessary (ie. stateroom attendant).

Is there anything you would recommend?

- Buy an excursion, the few that we did were worth it! (Beach excursions were the greatest in our opinion...watch for discounts and package deals)

- Bring your alloted bottle of wine or case of pop if you are not buying the drink package. Alternatively, buy a drink package (wait for it to go on sale)! It makes life a lot easier. Check out this blog to help make an informed decision: Drink Package Info *Personal note: we recommend to buy a drink package (when on sale..) if you think you might want to drink pop, bottled water, or more than 3 alcoholic beverages per day. But please note that every adult sharing a stateroom would have to purchase the drink package.

- Wifi is extra, but there are sometimes package deals. If this is important to you, definitely purchase it, or look into an international package with your carrier.*Personal note: the ship is pretty big, we could lose each other, its helpful to use to communicate.

- Plan to arrive one day prior to boarding. As much as a hotel is an extra expense, arriving the night before will alleviate much unwanted stress of possible flight delays. *Personal note: let's all stay at the same hotel or Airbnb and see if there is a group discount. We'll pick one with a pool :)

Can I bring my children/spouse/family member/friend?

- Yes of course! Just let us know so that we can plan accordingly :)
