FAQs

CEREMONY FAQ

DO I HAVE TO GO ON THE CRUISE TO ATTEND?

Nope! We would love for you to join us on the cruise but our ceremony and reception will be held on the Symphony of the Seas cruise ship, and is open to both sailing and non-sailing guests. We purposely chose to have our ceremony on the date the ship leaves so that our family and friends who are not going on the cruise can still attend the wedding and celebrate with us!

MAY I BRING A GUEST?

Due to the limited capacity of the wedding venue only guests named on the invitation can attend the ceremony - but they are more then welcome to join us on the cruise!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING?

Tropical Cocktail Attire/Beachy Semi-Formal

(think bright, fun, and tropical - white is ok as a background color)

Also there will be some walking required to board the ship and get to the venue so wear appropriate/change of shoes

WHERE DO I GO FOR THE WEDDING?

As the event gets closer we will have more information on where to go for the ceremony. Part of our wedding package includes pier to ship escorts for our guests to the ceremony space.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony/reception venue? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Yes they are wheel chair accessible!

4 Port Terminal Blvd, Bayonne, NJ 07002

Our ship will be Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas

**There are also wheelchair accessible rooms for anyone interested in crusing that would need one!**

WHEN DO I HAVE TO DECIDE IF I WANT TO CRUISE OR JUST ATTEND THE WEDDING?

For the group booking rate:

Balconys need to be booked by May 29th 2024

Interior Rooms need to be booked by June 13th 2024

(if your interested but need more time let me know and I can see if we can extend the block but it is not guarenteed. $250 deposit/person needed to book rooms and it is refundable)

We need final a final headcount on both our sailing and non sailing guests no later than March 1 2025. However, this particular cruise ship tends to fill up very quickly so we recommend booking ASAP if you are planning on cruising.

What kind of food will be served? What if I have allergies/dietary restrictions?

More details to follow but Royal Caribbean is amazing with food allergies and dietary restrictions so if you have any please let us know in your RSVP and we will pass it on.

DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO GO ON THIS CRUISE?

Technically no, however it is strongly encouraged especially with this far in advance notice. Without a passport you will be required to have your driver's license and birth certificate. If for some reason you were late coming back to the ship from port and missed it, it could create even more headaches trying to get home without a passport.

ARE THERE EVENTS PLANNED WITH THE BRIDE AND GROOM ONCE THE CRUISE HAS STARTED?

There are no formal events related to the wedding party once the cruise has started. We will however create a group message for our sailing guests so we can meet up during the cruise whether that be by the pool, a bar, or even on the beach at CocoCay. We can also plan to dine together in the Main Dining room each night:)

WHAT IS THERE TO DO FOR FUN DURING THE CRUISE?

Royal Caribbean offers excursions while at ports of calls but you can also explore the ports on your own if you wish.
