Corey desguised the proposal through some plotting with my friend Angela (they planned it for 3 months). Corey said we were visiting his family in Tennesse and while we were there we would get some couple pictures, he said that would be my Christmas present. Well when the time for the pictures came and we were all dolled up, I had no clue of what he was planning. When we arrived at Mempis Botanical Garden it was a little cold but not cold or windy enough to really explain the jacket Corey decided to bring along, since he's always warm, so at this point I got a little curious as to what was going on. We arrived early, like usual when I'm with Corey, so we decided to look around at some places in the garden until the photographer got there. It was a few minutes that we wondered the garden grounds, and Corey still had that jacket in his hands...which I decided he might have just gotten it to maybe give to me if I got cold. We met up with the photographer and went to another part of the gardens that had a Japanese style bridge and art styles. We walked around to one side of the bridge so it was behind us along with a pond, and we started to take some pictures. A few minutes into the shoot, Corey says he has to get my other christmas present so he turns me around and makes me close my eyes. Which caused me to think he may be proposing because of all the sneaky sneaky he was doing. When he said for me to turn around my suspicions were right he was on his knee with a ring box in his hand, at this point I wanted to cry. He asked me and I said yes!
