Mike and I’s story began 36 years ago at Resurrection of Our Lord School where we attended grammar school in New Orleans East. The Class of 1981 stayed close with the help of Facebook. We prayed for each other in times of trouble and praised each other in moments of celebration. We cried together when Hurricane Katrina destroyed our childhood neighborhood. We still remanence over old photos of the “good ole days” living in da’ East. While Mike played football at Nichols College and graduated with a degree in Education, I attended Loyola University obtaining Business and Law Degrees. Both of us were blessed with beautiful children. But, life took us on unexpected and winding roads that eventually led us back to each other. We reconnected on Thanksgiving Day, 2017, had our first date November 25th at Shaggy’s Restaurant in Biloxi, and after many more dates, walked into love with our eyes wide open, choosing to take every step along the way. We will be married on June 29, 2018 in San Juan, Puerto Rico followed by a seven-day cruise of the South Caribbean Islands on Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. We love each and every one of you, our family and friends, for consistently being our “Simon” who helped us carry our Crosses over the years. We pledge to live our married life for the Glory of God and in thanksgiving for the many blessings He’s bestowed on us.
