Taylon had been telling me for a few weeks not to make plans on May 26, 2012. This was the day after I graduated high school and he wanted to take me out to celebrate. He told me we were going to eat at Triple J's which is a steakhouse in Lubbock, Tx then we would go watch the move, Battleship. I was perfectly content with that, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for us. When we left my house in Littlefield, he told me we had to stop at his house in Anton so he could grab my present. He grabbed my gift and then started packing a cooler with sandwiches, suddenly salad, potato chips, chocolate chip cookies, water and gatorade. I asked him what he was doing and he calmly replied, "Oh, nothing. Just going on a picnic!" This was super exciting for me because we had never been on a picnic before. We arrived at a beatuiful park with a huge pond and ducks! We sat by the pond and ate our food. In the middle of the meal he decided to give me one of my presents. It was a black box with a Sony flip video camera. I was ecstatic! I videoed the ducks and took a few pictures of us then began to eat my sandwich again. He kept staring at me, which he did often, then just replied, "You're beautiful." But after he said that, he kept staring at me. I tried puting my video camera back in the bag but he became real uneasy. He sighed and decided to give me my last gift. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them, he was holding a black box open with a gorgeous diamond ring in it. I immediately began crying and took about five minutes before I managed to get out the word, "YES!"
