Even as a little girl, I always wondered how my future husband would propose. Would he do the whole "beach at sunset" game? What about the "flash the proposal on the big screen at an NFL game" thing? Well...it was nothing like that.

Mark later admitted he was nervous. He explained to me that he just wanted to get the question over with. Knowing Mark as well as I do, and looking back on the moment...I totally get it. Even now, he refuses to talk about the proposal. Understandable.

So here is the scoop. It was a work night. We were sitting on the couch in Hidden Valley. Mark suddenly got down on the floor, on both knees in front of me and asked...he asked...well he asked for something that was just a no go for me. He then said "well if you said no to that, how about saying yes to this." He then pulled out a ring. 

And that is it. The story. The moment I will never forget. And...it was perfect. It may not be perfect for every girl. But it was perfect for us, and who we are!
