The Barfoot Beach Resort is a Vacation Condo Rental property that has 1 & 2 bedroom suites with a kitchen and family room. It's south of the venue. I heard that they work with Alegant Air on group pricing for people that fly into St Pete/Clearwater Airport. Online you they start at $177 a night.

Then the same time frame north is the Holiday Inn and Suites Harbourside. They have single rooms or studio suites with a King or 2 Queens. For big groups that want to share they also have a 2 Queen suite with a large kitchen and living rooms. We are working on a negotiated price with this property depending on how many need a room. Prices are starting at $229 to $264 an night depending on the room type.

Within 15-20 minutes is Largo and Clearwater Beach. Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Largo/Clearwater has rooms around $180, and on the beach is Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites has rooms around $270 an night.

All of these are 3 Star properties. This time of year spring break starts for some of the northern states, plus snow birds start coming down to get out of the cold.
